Derek Eisenberg is a life long Bergen County resident having lived first in Teaneck and then in Englewood for the majority of his years growing up. He has lived in Maywood since 1998.
Derek is a licensed Real Estate Broker in eighteen states and a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in seven states. He also holds a NJ Tax Assessor's certificate having devoted his practice to tax appeals rather than municipal employ. He graduated from Rutgers Graduate School of Management with a MBA in Finance in 1991 and Rutgers Newark College of Arts & Science with a BA in Finance in 1986. His firm Continental Real Estate has been based in Hackensack since 1993.
Derek has served on the Maywood Borough Council since January 2013. He previously served on the Maywood planning board, the executive board of the Northeast NJ Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service Technology Committee, and the New Jersey Association of Realtors Appraisal Section Committee. He is an approved expert witness for the Superior Court of New Jersey and the New Jersey Tax Court. As an appraiser, Derek has fought for Maywood residents assisting them in property tax appeals and has been ardent fighter for tax relief for Maywood residents.
Derek and his wife Christine, a life long Maywood resident have three children Maxwell, Camryn & Victoria. .
