Born in Englewood, NJ Laura is a lifelong resident of Bergen County. Resident of Maywood since 1983, Laura is married to Tom Hynes and has three children, Katie, Matthew, and Colleen.
Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University in 1978, her School Nurse/ Health Education certification from New Jersey City University in 2000, and her Masters in Educational Technology in 2005. Laura has worked for many years at Hackensack University Medical Center and, more recently, at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack as a school nurse.
Laura has been a Maywood Democrat since 1983. She has been involved with the Maywood Democratic Club and been elected as Maywood County Committee person both in the past and presently. .
